How to transfer funds to ASA Potrero

You must first be online to the BCR website.  You must set up your connection by clicking "Afiliece".  Enter your passport number ( usually preceded by 300...), debit card number and PIN as per the prompts.

Once you have done this, in the Oficina Virtual, enter your ID number and password.  Select "Transferencias".  Choose the account from the drop-down menu from which you wish to pay ASA Potrero.

In the "motivo" field, enter your name and ASA account number, possibly with a reference to the fact that this is a water payment for your own use.  DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR LOT NUMBER or any other numbers, e.g. dates, times, etc.!!

Select Cuenta "Corriente"  oficina number 325, cuenta 0000570-3 and enter or paste the amount in colones into the "monto" field.

Click "Verificar".  You should see that the payment is coming from an account in your name and being posted to "ASOC ADM ACUEDUCTO Y ALCANTARI".

If this is the case, click "Confirmar" to complete the transfer.  It is recommended that you print and retain a hard copy of your payment by clicking "Imprimir" when you see the Confirmation.

If not, click "Corrigir Datos", and try again.  Be careful that you do not transfer funds to a savings account with the same account number.  BCR has a parallel numbering system that must be differentiated by selecting "Ahorros" or "Corriente".  ASA's account is "Corriente".

If you successfully transfer your payment to ASA Potrero, it will be posted to your ASA account the following day.  If you check the ASA Potrero website within a day or two, your account will show a zero balance if you have paid in full.
